About

I’m a college student- originally from El Paso, TX- studying  Environmental Science at Boston University who has found herself in the heart of Ecuador. I’m making my way through a semester in the beautiful country of Ecuador, where I’m studying tropical ecology. I’ll have the chance to visit the road less traveled (aka the depths of the Amazon rainforest) as well as being able to spend some time in Quito. I’m always looking for an adventure and this is proving to be quite the adventure.

Follow me, your gringa abroad, as I sample cheap foods, navigate my way on public transportation, attempt at making conversation with my Spanish-speaking host family, hang out with some tortoises on the Galapagos and survive a month at the Tiputini Research Station in the Amazon rainforest. I’ll also get to know coastal Ecuador and the cloud forests while I’m here. As usual, my camera will be accompanying me so you can expect lots and lots of photos from me. I hope you enjoy!
